Marinated Flank Steak

When it comes to meat, quality and taste is what matters most to me. Also, who doesn't love most of what they see on Shark Tank. Once I came across Moink on Shark Tank and learned just a little bit about Lucinda Cramsey, 8th generation farmer, who created Moink as a mission to help save America’s family farms and Revitalize Rural America. By purchasing from Moink, you get to stand shoulder to shoulder with the small town folks as they fight to save America’s family farms- definitely one of my favorite aspects of the company. They have Grass-fed & grass-finished beef & lamb, pastured pork & chicken and wild-caught Alaskan salmon.

Some of the best aspects of Moink is the high importance they put on raising the animals in their natural environments; ie the pork and chicken are pasture-raised and only 1 percent of the chicken in the United States is raised outdoors. Plus, the fish is sustainably wild-caught in Alaska, by the LAST independent fishermen in Bristol Bay (as he is the last non-corporate man standing). They never use growth hormones or antibiotics, never having them in confined spaces and of course NO nitrates, nitrites, saline solutions or bleach. Did you know 97% of the chicken in the US is dipped in  chlorine before it's packaged!!

Now let's talk about one of my favorite cuts of meat, and how I was blown away at the flavor!

All you need to make this easy and quick but feels super fancy steak is a pound of skirt steak, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar (or coconut sugar), Worcestershire sauce + fresh garlic, salt and pepper of course.

You can marinate your steak in a ziplock, reusable ziplock or in a deeper pan. This can be made inside the comfort of your home on a grill pan or cast iron or you can grill it up outside!
