French Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 Egg Yolks
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
  • Butter or Oil for the Pan
  • 4 Slices of Bread (pictured: brioche)
  • Optional: Powdered Sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Separate your egg yolks from your egg whites into a bowl, using only the egg yolks. (you can discard the egg whites or save for another use)
  2. Add in milk, vanilla, cinnamon and salt to the eggs and whisk together until fully combined
  3. Heat up a skillet on medium heat with butter. Make sure pan or flat top is evenly heated and greased up enough before adding the first piece of bread
  4. Dip 1 slice of bread in the mixture and softly press down to coat, flip and press down. Remove from mixture, shake off excess liquid, placing into the hot pan or surface. Once bottom becomes golden brown, flip and cook another 2-3 minutes. Set aside 
  5. Repeat for all slices
  6. Top with butter, syrup and powdered sugar
