Creamy Sausage, Tomato, and Kale Pasta
Mueller’s® Garlic & Chive Flavor Infused Penne Rigate
I am SO excited to bring this recipe to life. It is quick, easy and FULL of flavor, and the best part, after making this once you can basically just eyeball it and throw the ingredients together to marinate. This pasta Mueller’s® Garlic & Chive Flavor Infused Penne Rigate has a flavor of its own, making it easy for you to mix and match any of the below ingredients to make a flavorful, creamy and satisfying dish!
Ingredients:
1/2 package Mueller’s Garlic & Chive Flavor Infused Penne Rigate
1 tbsp Olive Oil (or oil of choice)
1 tbsp Butter (I prefer clarified butter)
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
1/4 cup Coconut Milk (full fat preferred)
1/2 Sweet Onion, roughly chopped
10 Fresh Mini Tomatoes (some cut in fourths and some cut in halves)
1/2 Block of 8oz Cream Cheese (4 ounces)
1/3 Package of 16oz Ground Sausage (~6ish ounces, crumbled)
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
3 Handfuls Kale, roughly chopped
1/4 cup Half & Half
2 tsp Sea Salt
Directions:
Boil water and cook Mueller’s Garlic & Chive Flavor Infused Penne Rigate pasta for about 8 min
Heat oil in the saucepan on medium heat, then add butter and let melt
Add tomato paste and stir
Pour in 1/4 cup coconut milk to a saucepan to deglaze, add half your kale, and turn heat to low for a simmer
Add chopped onion, the quartered tomatoes (around 5), 1/2 the cream cheese, and stir
Push mixture to the side, turn heat to medium-high, and add in chopped up sausage to open space, season with the garlic powder.
Once it starts to cook, move it around and turn the heat down to medium. Mix everything together until fully combined
Add in almost cooked pasta and fully combine
Pour in half and half, turn down heat to low/med, add the halved tomatoes and last half of kale. Cover and let simmer for a few minutes
Uncover, stir and serve!
