8 1/2 Italian Restaurant

8 1/2 is take-out only serving similar items from the 2 very well known Italian restaurants in Richmond,  Mamma ’Zu & Edo Squid. This take out joint serves sandwiches, pizza and pasta. They also have amazing house salad and soup specials daily. 

Some of their 'best sellers' are:

  • Meatball Hero
  • Sausage Ricotta and Broccolini Pasta (penne or spaghetti) 
  • Eggplant Parm
  • Pizza (both red && white)
  • Calzones
  • Carbonara (pictured)

The carbonara is a Richmond staple and one of my fave dishes that you can get at any of their 3 locations. 

If you are looking to sit down, hit up Mamma 'Zu or Edo Squid but make sure to make a reservation  and make sure you have some extra time because you probably won't sit town at the time you're supposed to. NOTE: get the Duck Breast (with crispy polenta and white beans. you won't regret it)
