Garlic White Beans and Bacon
Garlic White Beans and Bacon
the perfect winter side (or for any season!) but would be amazing with steak and a glass of red wine!
Ingredients
- 1 can of White Beans (also called Northern Beans or Cannellini beans)
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1/2 White Onion, minced
- 1/2 package Bacon, cooked
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Red Pepper Flakes and Paprika to taste
Instructions
- Drain and rinse beans
- Cook bacon according to package (I prefer to cook bacon in the oven)
- Heat pan on high heat, add oil, reduce heat to medium and add onions. Cook until translucent. Add in the minced garlic and 1 tbsp butter, stir.
- Add in the drained and rinsed white beans and stir
- Add in a few dashes of paprika and red pepper flakes and stir, then let sit for a minute or 2 to heat up
- Cut bacon into small pieces and add to the pan and stir
- Add last of the butter and stir
- Enjoy immediately!
