You don’t always need to make an elaborate sauce for your pasta, or even spoon some out of the jar. With Mueller’s® new flavor infused pasta, add some butter, olive oil, parmesan cheese and salt and you are good to go!
This is one of my favorite pasta go-tos, especially when I’m looking for something quick and don’t have many options to choose from at the house!
Ingredients
- ½ package Mueller’s Tuscan Italian Style Flavor Infused Rotini
- 3 tbsp Butter (I used clarified butter)
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil (or oil of choice)
- 1 tbsp Fresh Basil Leaves, minced
- ¼ tsp Garlic Powder (1 clove minced garlic if preferred)
- ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese (freshly grated preferred)
- Dash Red Pepper Flakes
- ¼ -½ cup Pasta Water (saved in case needed)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil Mueller’s Tuscan Italian Style Flavor Infused Rotini as directed on bag
- Save up to ½ cup pasta water and set aside
- Heat butter in a pan on medium heat, add in oil and red pepper flakes and combine
- Immediately add in the cooked pasta and mix
- Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half of the parmesan cheese, mix
- Pour in ¼ cup of pasta water and a few dashes of olive oil to allow for a silky texture (add more if you’d like)
- Turn heat to low, add the basil and the rest of the parmesan cheese, cover, and let melt for 1-2 minutes
- Serve immediately, top with more cheese and/or butter if preferred
