Quick Cast Iron Skillet Lasagna

This easy cast iron skillet lasagna uses pre-cooked pasta, ricotta, mozzarella, and jarred sauce for a comforting, cheesy dinner ready in under 30 minutes. Perfect for weeknights or cozy weekends — no boiling layers required!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups jarred marinara sauce
  • 2 cups cooked pasta broken lasagna noodles or short pasta
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Oil a 10–12 inch cast iron skillet.
  • Mix ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread ½ cup sauce in skillet. Layer pasta, ricotta, sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat once more. Top with remaining sauce and mozzarella.
  • Bake 15–20 minutes, until bubbly and golden. Optional: broil for 1–2 minutes.
  • Rest 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with basil.
