Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • 1 cup marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about ¼-inch thick. Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces.
  • Step 3: Stuff with Mozzarella
  • Place a cube of mozzarella in the center of each piece of dough. Wrap the dough around the cheese, pinching the edges tightly to seal. Roll it into a ball and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Combine the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  • Once the knots are out of the oven, immediately brush them with the garlic butter mixture. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
  • Serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
