Total Time 25 minutes mins
- 1 pound pizza dough store-bought or homemade
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese cut into 1-inch cubes
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
- 1 cup marinara sauce for dipping
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about ¼-inch thick. Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces.
Step 3: Stuff with Mozzarella
Place a cube of mozzarella in the center of each piece of dough. Wrap the dough around the cheese, pinching the edges tightly to seal. Roll it into a ball and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Combine the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
Once the knots are out of the oven, immediately brush them with the garlic butter mixture. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
Serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
