I’m excited to tell my story here and i’m glad you’re here! I am a passionate female invested in living my best life through eating REAL food, nourishment, flexibility and constant gratitude practice

I focus on minimally processed ingredients, low sugar and high positivity. You will see me hardly ever eat breakfast, scarf down pizza, daily work outs, go out, get excited for vegetables, order big AF salads, geek out over cute coffee shops, and be unapologetically, ME.

I am a lover of Barre, Bulletproof Coffee, to do lists, candles, plants and fireplaces.

Real Food with Gratitude is all about living the life you want to live, feeling good and being the happiest version of yourself; without restricting the things you love. To me, what is life without pizza and chasing your dream?

I am here to give you quick and easy (healthy) recipes, how to better meal prep and plan for your week, info on healthy products/food and how you can live a healthy lifestyle while living in a processed food filled world. I focus on things with minimal ingredients, minimal process/chemicals, REAL foods, and meal prepping. Also, how to focus on fat, carbs, and protein to fuel your body and how to not fear fat & carbs! I love prepping different ingredients early in the week (fats, proteins, and carbs) and love nothing more in making fun and exciting meals out of them in just minutes.

I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach but I am also just a girl who used to struggle and obsess about being skinny and has found a path forward in how to live a happy and healthy life WITH food, not WITHOUT it. I focus on eating REAL instead of focusing on the next new diet or trend. That means living a balanced lifestyle and also going through some trial and error to figure out what works for YOU.

How did this become my life?

During college, I did live the whole “college student” life of partying, pizza, beer, no exercise, staying up late, didn’t care how I felt routine. After college, my goal was to lose all the weight I gained and quickly that became my life and I didn’t care how I got there. I tried everything but for some reason, I never lost weight and if I did, it quickly came back. But more importantly, I still felt terrible. In 2016, I had 2 surgeries that left me unable to work out and eating anything I wanted. After I was healed, I realized I needed to take care of my body and actually care about WHAT I was putting in my body. I started an Instagram to have a place to put my recipes as well as keep myself accountable. And the wheels on that train never stopped…

So, I started my blog, Real Food with Gratitude, LLC as a place for all my recipes where my friends could go to check them out. I had no thoughts of ever making it my full-time job and I actually didn’t know it was even in the realm of possibilities that it COULD be my full-time job. But, as each day went on, I was spending all of my time on Instagram and reading nutrition articles and trying every single “fad” product or healthy thing I saw. Once I figured out what worked for me, I quickly realized I would LOVE to talk to people like I was and HELP them

I quit my job as a sales professional, decided to enroll in school to get my health coach and nutrition certification and start focusing on how I can help YOU better. If you’re interested in learning how to live a healthier lifestyle without much sacrifice, feel better, look better and be HAPPY, I am here to help.

A few things you may not know about me:

  1. I am 34 and live in Richmond, VA (grew up in the country on 100 acres but now live in the city and love it)

  2. I have 2 half-brothers (9 & 10 years older than me and 1 is a chef)

  3. I am a barre and fitness instructor instructor and love pushing people to get the most out of their workout and for them to actually enjoy it. I think its so important to find a movement YOU enjoy.

  4. I worked as a sales rep for 3 companies before starting Real Food with Gratitude, LLC (one was going door to door for a phone company selling phone lines internet on the spot)

  5. I make & drink Bulletproof Coffee every morning and don’t eat breakfast. I am just not hungry in the morning most days (read more about that here)

  6. Obsessed with my black and white cat, Maddy and my Goldendoodle, Stella

  7. I have 50+ plants and candles all over my house

  8. I am a certified Health Coach (Institute for Integration Nutrition)

  9. I studied abroad in Spain in high school and also lived and studied art in Florence, Italy for 4 months in college (photos here)

  10. My mom (amazing chef, who taught me most everything I know) passed away of Pancreatic Cancer in 2014, she is the reason I love food so much
